In Spring Puzzle from Buffalo Games

We’ve done a good number of puzzles of artwork from Charles Wysocki. They’re very popular, and we can see why. We almost always follow a non-Wysocki puzzle with a Wysocki one. Not that they’re super-easy, but they are often a nice break from some of the really hard ones we’ve done. The In Spring puzzle from Buffalo Games is another great one. It’s an older puzzle, but age doesn’t matter when it comes to puzzles. We love them all, old or new.

A Little Different

Most of the Charles Wysocki puzzles we’ve completed are views of a large area. Like a main street. Or a countryside. Several houses. Lots of horses. Many trees. The In Spring puzzle from Buffalo Games is a little different in that there’s just one house. One horse. And just a few trees. It’s a very nice painting. This is another one of our favorites.

The Last Piece

This 1000 piece puzzle includes a nice, large poster. The assembled puzzle is about 30″ wide and 24″ high. The pieces fit very well (and rather tightly) and the image quality on the pieces is fantastic. The colors were great. The pieces are thick. This is a quality puzzle that brings hours of enjoyment.

Know It All Puzzle from Buffalo Games

We’ve done quite a number of puzzles of art from Charles Wysocki. And we’ve enjoyed them all. Usually, there are elements in his works that are common across them. Hearts. Chimneys. The types of trees. Those things. We found this Know It All Puzzle from Buffalo Games to contain a few of those common things, but also, many new ones that we had not yet experienced. This was a little different than our ‘usual’ and we really enjoyed it!

Kick Back And Enjoy

It’s a sign of a good puzzle when, after the last piece goes in, you can kick back and enjoy the results. Look around. Find things. Point to them, smile. Remember the easy parts. And the tough ones. This Know It All Puzzle from Buffalo Games was a good puzzle. Even great!

The Last Piece

This puzzle included a poster. There are 1000 pieces in this puzzle. The assembled puzzle is about 20″ high and 27″ wide. The pieces fit very well and the image quality on the pieces is fantastic. This is a very fun puzzle to do and enjoy afterwards. The sky and grass areas were the most challenging but not frustratingly so!

Tranquility Puzzle from Spin Master

Calm is an app for your phone that plays soundscapes or music to help you sleep, focus and relax. Kinda like puzzling. So it makes sense that the makers of Calm and Spin Master teamed up to do a number of puzzles that pair with Calm. The images on the puzzle are calming too, even if you don’t have Calm! We found this Tranquility Puzzle for sale used at one of our favorite antique malls. I’ve scored big and often at it. I’d tell you the name but I don’t want to lose on my favorite sources for puzzles. Sorry!

Big Pieces. Big Fun.

We don’t do many 300 piece puzzles. We tend to have mostly 1000 piece ones going. We puzzle so often that I’m afraid if we did only 300 (or even 500) piece ones we’d have to add a storage unit to the house just to keep up with them. When we do a smaller puzzle it always amazes me how big the pieces are. But that doesn’t always mean easier. The darker areas of this puzzle were still quite the challenge. This Tranquility Puzzle from Spin Master was a fun puzzle. And yes, it was relaxing too!

The Last Piece

This 300 piece puzzle was brightly colored and peaceful! The assembled puzzle is about 24″ wide and 18″ high. The pieces fit very well. It was a fairly easy puzzle to complete, though the darker areas were a bit more challenging. The pieces are nice and large, and thick. They’re easy to handle to boot!

Colorful Tea Cups Puzzle from EuroGraphics

Pretty pictures. Isn’t that why most of us pick certain puzzles? Nice colors. Or Nice scenes. Or both. My wife collects vintage plates and cups and whatnot so this Colorful Tea Cups puzzle from EuroGraphics quickly found its way into our shopping cart at an antique mall in Ohio. The price was right, too. It had to come home with us. Little did we know at the time the challenges that awaited. We should’ve known. We should’ve taken more than 5 seconds to look and say “oh, that’s pretty”. This was not an easy puzzle. But it didn’t have to be!

Frame-Worthy

The details in this puzzle were great. The colors fantastic. And the challenges many. The hardest areas were the white drawers, actually. This Colorful Tea Cups Puzzle from EuroGraphics took us a while to complete. We definitely got our money’s worth, both time-wise and enjoyment-wise. This is really a frame-worthy puzzle at least in our home where dish collecting is a thing!

The Last Piece

This 1000 piece puzzle did not include a poster. We did buy it used but really, I don’t think a poster would’ve been necessary even if it did come with one when new. The colors are bright and wonderful. We did get a few false-fits, but not many. The assembled puzzle is about 26″ wide and 19″ high. This is a challenging puzzle, but a very enjoyable one too.

The Naturalist’s Collection Puzzle from Buffalo Games

This is a total ‘wow’ puzzle for us. We’ve done a number of puzzles from Aimee Stewart, and they’re all good, but this one was beyond that. This one really amazed us. The Naturalist’s Collection Puzzle from Buffalo Games is easily one of the most enjoyable puzzles we’ve done. There’s so much color. So many things, everywhere, all over. There’s not one boring moment assembling this puzzle. It’s fantastic!

An Easy Challenge

We do love a good challenging puzzle. And at first, The Naturalist’s Collection Puzzle from Buffalo Games seemed very, very difficult. It’s dark in places. There are so many objects. Like shells. And claws. And nests. My goodness, they’re everywhere! But in reality, this puzzle was easier than it looked. The use of colors actually made it easier to determine where pieces went. An easy example is the wooden case. It’s not the same color throughout. That helped a lot!

In the end, this was a true joy to do and a real Aimee Stewart work of art!

I couldn’t find this puzzle available online for sale new. You can certainly look around and hopefully find one used. It’s well worth the hunt! Puzzle designs come and go, so you can always check with Buffalo Games to see if it’s back in production.
