Color Eveywhere

The color contrasts in this Farm Fresh puzzle from Buffalo Games are wonderful. It was a very enjoyable experience putting it together. Are there some tough spots? You bet you. Some of the wood planks proved a bit harder. And we had to get our magnifying glass out a few times to make sure were were getting the shelf items right.

Country Life Old Western Town Puzzle from Buffalo Games

I was instantly drawn to the picture on the box of this Country Life Old Western Town puzzle from Buffalo Games. “There’s a lot going on in that town”, I thought. And I thought “This isn’t going to be easy.” And it wasn’t, either. There are definitely some challenging spots in this puzzle. There are lots of browns and tans and reds. And the sky isn’t the easiest, either. But in the end, oh was it ever worth the effort!

We don’t frame our finished puzzles. Or at least we haven’t yet. But if we did, this Country Life Old Western Town puzzle from Buffalo Games would definitely be one that we would frame. The detail and the colors are perfect. It’s the kind of puzzle you yell “yeehaw!” after putting in the last piece. I’m not sure why, but you’ll find yourself doing it too. Trust me.

Not Without Its Challenges

Not all is fun in games in this Pine Road Service puzzle from Buffalo Games. There are challenges all over. They make the final the result all the more enjoyable. The signs found around the puzzle were an easy place to start out. The trees were a bit tougher as was the sky above them. And parts of the road slowed us down too.

The Last Piece

This puzzle contains 1000 pieces. The final puzzle is about 19″ wide and 26″ high. The pieces are thick and cut perfectly. They fit together really well. The image is crisp and bright and the colors are amazing. This is an enjoyable, quality puzzle.

The Greatest Bookstore in the World Puzzle from Eurographics

Stress relief. That’s a big reason for doing puzzles. Yet, some puzzles can be stressful. And fortunately, a lot of them are in-between. The Greatest Bookstore in the World puzzle from Eurographics is one of those in-between-ers. The bookshelves weren’t too bad. Kind of relaxing. The flowers… a bit tougher. As were the brick walls along the edges. In the end, though, this was a very great puzzle and one we remember quite fondly. It was a balance of easier and harder.

How Much Is That Kitty In The Window

There are a few cute spots in this The Greatest Bookstore in the World puzzle from Eurographics. I mean, the whole puzzle is nice but there are always little things in a puzzle that you look back at with a smile, right? There’s a cute kitty in the bookstore window. And there’s one in one of the windows eyeing a pigeon. The bike is wonderful. And of course the bookstore looks like a great place to hang out and peruse for hours on end.

The Last Piece

This puzzle contains 1000 pieces. The final puzzle is about 19″ wide and 26″ high. There is no poster included. The pieces are thick and cut perfectly. They fit together really well. The image is crisp and bright. This is an enjoyable, quality puzzle.

Bob’s Hardware Puzzle from White Mountain

How fun!!! Oh how we loved this Bob’s Hardware puzzle from White Mountain. The colors and quality did not disappoint. We enjoyed every piece. And we really enjoyed the final image. That’s not to say that there weren’t difficult spots as we went along. But that’s ok. We knew that our efforts would be rewarded in the end and they were.

A Colorful Challenge

This Bob’s Hardware puzzle from White Mountain is busy. There’s stuff everywhere. Colorful stuff, too. Similar colors too, that make things a bit more challenging. The shop windows were tricky. I started by putting together the large sign above the shop thinking that it would be a walk-in-the-park. I was a bit wrong. It took me longer than I had expected. That’s ok. A puzzle with a few tough spots makes for a more enjoyable experience, I believe. We were really happy with the colorful imagery in the end. This is one of our favorite puzzles.

Mickey and Friends Boardwalk Fun Puzzle from Ceaco

The image on the front of the box for this Mickey and Friends Boardwalk Fun puzzle from Ceaco really caught my eye when we were ‘visiting’ the puzzle section of our local grocery store. The colors. The cartoon characters. Everything about it screamed ‘fun’. I’m a big fan of cartoons (I highly recommend watching the TV show Toon In With Me on MeTV) so I was so looking forward to making this puzzle. But then…..

Great Picture. Not So Great Quality.

As I mentioned I was drawn to the picture on the box when I bought this Mickey and Friends Boardwalk fun puzzle from Ceaco. And that didn’t end when I stepped back to enjoy the final result. Bright colors. Great images. It’s the time in between the purchase and the putting in the final piece that wasn’t as enjoyable. The pieces just weren’t cut right. One had to be modified with a knife to get it to fit together right. If I tried a piece in the wrong spot I had to be super careful removing it or I’d get 5 or more pieces with it. Oh and if you’re like me and like to assemble smaller portions of the puzzle off to the side and then move it to the puzzle, good luck. The pieces don’t fit well enough to make that an easy task!

The Last Piece

This 1500 piece puzzle included a very colorful, nice poster. The assembled puzzle is about 32″ wide and 24″ high. The pieces fit very loosely and are not cut very well at all. If you even touch the puzzle inadvertently the pieces will tend to come apart, at least until the entire puzzle is assembled. The image quality on the pieces themselves is very good.

The French Walkway Puzzle from Eurographics

Every once-in-a-while we look thru the ‘to-do’ pile of puzzles and decide that it’s time to do a difficult one. The French Walkway puzzle from Eurographics was definitely in the ‘difficult’ category for us. The final image was fantastic. This will be one of our favorite puzzles forever. The memories of the challenging sections are long gone, replaced by time spent enjoying the final result.

So Many Challenges

There were so many parts of The French Walkway puzzle from Eurographics that posed a challenge. The walkway was tough but not too bad since the shading varied enough so you kinda knew where pieces go. The walls and ivy and flowers were all demanding.

My (somewhat crooked) picture does not do this puzzle justice. It was definitely a frame-able puzzle if you’re looking for something nice to hang on the wall.

The Last Piece

The pieces in this puzzle were nice and thick and cut perfectly. They stayed together like they should. The quality of the image was fantastic. There is no poster included with this puzzle, but the box itself is pretty large making it easier to look at the picture. This puzzle contains 1000 pieces and ends up being around 19″ high and 26″ wide.

Hawaiian Food Truck Festival Puzzle from Buffalo Games

This Hawaiian Food Truck Festival puzzle from Buffalo Games was our first ‘Pun Fuzzle’. We didn’t even know what that was when we opened the box and started sorting the pieces. When you’re done with the puzzle (or maybe even while you’re assembling it) you’re faced with various challenges. Things to find. In this puzzle you needed to locate the 21 tacos. And find all of the puns. It’s just another fun way to enjoy a puzzle!

Snack Stack Puzzle from Springbok

I have to fess up. I wanted to quit this puzzle 30 minutes into starting it. I thought the Snack Stack puzzle from Springbok was way too tough. I was frustrated. The colors on the pieces didn’t quite match the colors on the box. That might not seem like a big deal, but it is when you’re trying to tell the difference between cheese sauce, French fries and Cheetos for example. Fortunately, my wife talked me down and we put our heads together and struggled forward to completion.

Hours Of Hungry (But Slow) Progress

I love crazy sandwiches. The more this Snack Stack puzzle from Springbok came together, the hungrier I got. I should probably learn my lesson about buying food-related puzzles at some point but I appear to have a weakness for them. I’d probably finish a puzzle sooner if I’d stop looking at it and then started dreaming of having a sandwich.

The Last Piece

There is no poster included with this puzzle. The puzzle is about 24″ high and 30″ wide and contains 1000 pieces. The pieces are thick, cut well and fit well. As I mentioned, I felt that the color of the image on the puzzles could’ve better matched that of the picture on the box. But I guess the fact that they don’t match is part of the challenge!

Do The Fun Parts First

There are so many great sections of this puzzle that are challenging but fun to make. Creatures are everywhere. We got those parts done first. Keep in mind as you’re doing the puzzle: “From there to here, and here to there, funny things are everywhere!”. Nothing could be truer about this Dr Seuss Oh The Places You Will Go puzzle from The OP Games!

Then came the hard parts. The grass. The path. The sky. Lots of similar-colored pieces are to be found, presenting a great challenge that is well-rewarded in the end.

The Last Piece

This puzzle contains 1000 pieces. The final puzzle is about 19″ wide and 26″ high. There is no poster included. The pieces are thick and cut perfectly. They fit together really well. The image is crisp and bright. This is an enjoyable, quality puzzle. The one downside is that the picture on the front of the box is obscured by some of the title text. If you want to see what the finished puzzle will look like you have to reference the (smaller) picture on the back side of the box.
