Tiki Beach Sunset Puzzle from Buffalo Games

This Tiki Beach Sunset puzzle from Buffalo Games had us quickly crowning Aimee Stewart as our favorite puzzle artist. The colors, the images and the objects in her puzzles just cannot be beat in our opinion. We are always drawn to her work. And often, we can recognize it from across the aisle in the store. There’s nothing else out there like it. We always have a stack of her puzzles on-hand, some waiting to be started and many already completed.

Enjoy The Challenge

We found a few areas of this Tiki Beach Sunset puzzle from Buffalo Games to be a bit challenging. Mostly because of the colors and shading. The rug on the floor, the ceiling and the fish tank were definitely harder areas than others.

It was also easy to get distracted by the many great objects in this puzzle. A turntable, skulls, model boats… a lizard… You name it. It’s just fun to assemble and more fun to sit back and enjoy when completed.

The Last Piece

This puzzle included a brightly colored poster. There are 1000 pieces in this puzzle. The assembled puzzle is about 27″ wide and 20″ high. The pieces fit very well and the image quality on the pieces is fantastic. The colors were great and the pieces are cut perfectly. This is a quality puzzle that brings hours of enjoyment.

Mickey and Friends Boardwalk Fun Puzzle from Ceaco

The image on the front of the box for this Mickey and Friends Boardwalk Fun puzzle from Ceaco really caught my eye when we were ‘visiting’ the puzzle section of our local grocery store. The colors. The cartoon characters. Everything about it screamed ‘fun’. I’m a big fan of cartoons (I highly recommend watching the TV show Toon In With Me on MeTV) so I was so looking forward to making this puzzle. But then…..

Great Picture. Not So Great Quality.

As I mentioned I was drawn to the picture on the box when I bought this Mickey and Friends Boardwalk fun puzzle from Ceaco. And that didn’t end when I stepped back to enjoy the final result. Bright colors. Great images. It’s the time in between the purchase and the putting in the final piece that wasn’t as enjoyable. The pieces just weren’t cut right. One had to be modified with a knife to get it to fit together right. If I tried a piece in the wrong spot I had to be super careful removing it or I’d get 5 or more pieces with it. Oh and if you’re like me and like to assemble smaller portions of the puzzle off to the side and then move it to the puzzle, good luck. The pieces don’t fit well enough to make that an easy task!

The Last Piece

This 1500 piece puzzle included a very colorful, nice poster. The assembled puzzle is about 32″ wide and 24″ high. The pieces fit very loosely and are not cut very well at all. If you even touch the puzzle inadvertently the pieces will tend to come apart, at least until the entire puzzle is assembled. The image quality on the pieces themselves is very good.

The French Walkway Puzzle from Eurographics

Every once-in-a-while we look thru the ‘to-do’ pile of puzzles and decide that it’s time to do a difficult one. The French Walkway puzzle from Eurographics was definitely in the ‘difficult’ category for us. The final image was fantastic. This will be one of our favorite puzzles forever. The memories of the challenging sections are long gone, replaced by time spent enjoying the final result.

So Many Challenges

There were so many parts of The French Walkway puzzle from Eurographics that posed a challenge. The walkway was tough but not too bad since the shading varied enough so you kinda knew where pieces go. The walls and ivy and flowers were all demanding.

My (somewhat crooked) picture does not do this puzzle justice. It was definitely a frame-able puzzle if you’re looking for something nice to hang on the wall.

The Last Piece

The pieces in this puzzle were nice and thick and cut perfectly. They stayed together like they should. The quality of the image was fantastic. There is no poster included with this puzzle, but the box itself is pretty large making it easier to look at the picture. This puzzle contains 1000 pieces and ends up being around 19″ high and 26″ wide.

Pretty As A Pitcher Puzzle from White Mountain

We both really enjoyed putting together this Pretty As A Pitcher puzzle. Available from White Mountain, it has 1000 pieces. We purchased it at our local grocery store, Meijer. Meijer often has pretty good sales on puzzles. We make it a habit to walk down to the ‘other end’ of the store where the puzzles are any time we are shopping for groceries. It’s rare that we come away empty handed. And often, we come away with a puzzle from White Mountain.

Quality And Fit

As with the other White Mountain puzzles we’ve done, we found the quality of this Pretty As A Pitcher puzzle to be good. The pieces fit well. They were random cut, which is something I prefer. There was just a bit of dust in the box when we opened it and started sorting.

Fun And Rewarding

The colors on the pieces were bright and crisp. And although there are several pitchers in the picture that are similar in design and color, it wasn’t difficult to tell the pieces apart. The wood shelves were slightly more challenging but not so much so. We wouldn’t call it a particularly difficult puzzle. But we would definitely call it fun!

The Last Piece

The finished puzzle was around 24″ high and 30″ wide. The box included a color poster, which is always a plus for us since we each like to have a picture of the final puzzle while we are assembling it.
