Hansel and Gretel Beware Puzzle from Ravensburger

This is the second Dean MacAdam puzzle we’ve completed and I can say nothing but good things about his artwork. This was one fun puzzle, from opening the box to standing back and enjoying the completed work. The colors are great. The objects are whimsical. Like the Come In Red Riding Hood puzzle, the Hansel and Gretel Beware Puzzle from Ravensburger is a true joy!

A Tale Of Two Stories

My wife and I worked on this Hansel and Gretel Beware Puzzle from Ravensburger together. She sorted and did the edges, then started at the darker parts at the bottom of the puzzle. She moved right along. It was impressive. I started at the top on the darker parts. I got frustrated quick. The dark pieces challenged me. I finally moved on to the gingerbread house and…. success! After that, everything fell into place and I’m glad it did!

The Last Piece

This puzzle did not include a poster. There are 1000 pieces in this puzzle. The assembled puzzle is about 20″ high and 27″ wide. The pieces fit very well and the image quality on the pieces is fantastic. The colors were great. The artwork is absolutely fun and enjoyable!

Dad’s Shed Puzzle from Ravensburger

We usually do 1000 piece puzzles. And sometimes a 2000 piece one here and there. And we’ve been known to ‘take a break’ and do a smaller puzzle. Well, just because a puzzle has less pieces definitely doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s going to be easy. Nope. Not at all. The Dad’s Shed puzzle from Ravensburger is proof of that. We started out thinking we’d finish this puzzle in short order. Instead, we struggled with the browns. Lots of browns. But it was a fun struggle and we really, really enjoyed the result. This puzzle reminded us of each of our dad’s in so many ways. So many of the same things could be found in this puzzle as in their workshops.

A Great Quality Puzzle

One thing you can always count on with a Ravensburger puzzle is quality. The pieces in the Dad’s Shed puzzle are nice and thick. And large. And they fit together perfectly. You can pick up the finished puzzle by a corner and not even a single piece will fall off. It’s that good. Ravensburger puzzles are more expensive for a reason: they’re better. And it’s not just the construction that’s better, the artwork is nicer. This puzzle comes from a painting. It’s super-detailed and a joy to assemble and look at.

What Great Colors You Have!

The quality of the artwork is the star of this Come In Red Riding Hood Puzzle from Ravensburger. I really found the detail and colors to be fantastic. I cannot wait to assemble the other puzzles in this series. Dean MacAdam did a fantastic job on these! He does amazing work, make sure you check out his website!

The Last Piece

This puzzle contains 1000 pieces. The final puzzle is about 19″ high and 27″ wide. No poster is included, though the box is large and the image easy to see. But, for a Ravensburger puzzle, we were a little disappointed in the quality. Usually we find the puzzles from Ravensburger to be of the highest quality. We found these pieces to fit rather loosely and in some cases, the top layer (where the image is) was separated or lifted up. But still the puzzle was amazing because of the fantastic artwork. The slightly poorer quality than usual pieces did not detract from our enjoyment!

Quality. And Challenging.

A hard puzzle is more fun when you’re dealing with quality pieces. Just the right thickness. Brilliant colors. A matching poster (great when there are two of us working the puzzle at the same time!). We’ve always had great success and fun with Ravensburger puzzles. This one was no exception. We really enjoyed putting The Kitchen Cupboard puzzle, from opening the box to stepping back and enjoying the final result.

The Last Piece
