I am not sure what came over me when we sat down to put this Colorful Pencils puzzle from HUADADA together. My wife and I divided it up after she had sorted it. This puzzle has the letters on the back to help in sorting. If you want to use them, that is. We did. She took the ‘C’ and ‘D’ pieces and I took the ‘A’ and ‘B’ ones. At first, I was overwhelmed. So many similar colors. So many similar shades. “Oh boy”, I thought, “What have I gotten myself into?” But then something clicked. I started picking up pieces and they just fell into place.
I doubt it’ll ever happen again, but I found my side of the puzzle to be pretty easy at least!

No Laws Here
As I mentioned, this Colorful Pencils puzzle from HUADADA has letters on the backs of the pieces. Just four letters, A-D. You can use them to help sort or not. If you sort. And if you want to. Honestly, with just four letters and 1000 pieces, and areas of the puzzle that are totally different colors, the letters aren’t a huge help. But they do help a bit.
A Light From Above
I found that our puzzle lamp was a big help with this puzzle. The ambient room light (it was the start of fall here) just wasn’t enough to see the different colors of the pencils. With the lamp on, though, they were easy to see. I think that’s how I got into ‘the zone’ and was able to finish my side of the puzzle so quickly.
And no, my wife was not happy that I finished so quickly. I probably won’t make that mistake again!

The Last Piece
This puzzle contains 1000 pieces. The final puzzle is about 27″ wide and 20″ high. The puzzle included a huge poster that is the same size as the puzzle. The pieces fit fairly well and we had very few false fits. The pieces are cut just a tad differently than usual, making them fun to put together and hard to get wrong. The image is very bright and colorful and would make for a great framed piece.
